Footnotes
Warning: Footnotes are not subject to scope. That is, footnotes may contain spoilers from later chapters or books.
- 1 - Joffrey was the person who hired a man to kill Bran.
- 2 - Last seen by Eddard in AGOT 36, Jaime reportedly joined his father in Casterly Rock by AGOT 40. Catelyn confirms the host in AGOT 41, Eddard likewise in AGOT 44, and Robb confirms the second host in AGOT 56.
- 3 - At some point before AGOT 41, Edmure demanded to know why the Lannisters were arming, but received no response. He officially calls the banners by AGOT 44. The houses that join the Tullys at Riverrun are educated guesses; Catelyn confirms that the Freys are not one of those houses in AGOT 60.

- 12 - Tytos Blackwood is unable to defend his seat, since he and his men are trapped at Riverrun.
