External Link Play the 8-bit Game of Thrones game. In the past, CollegeHumor demonstrated what Game of Thrones video games would look like in the style popularized by the 8-bit era. Now it's no longer a proof of concept-- Spanish artist Abel Alves has gone ahead and produced an actual Game of Thrones game. In the game, you play one of four different characters from the show in a platforming adventure. The game is freeware, so download it and check it out for yourselves.

External Link Halloween Costumes the Red Wedding. Not to be outdone by last week's selection of outfits, Halloween Costumes lists instructions and materials for dressing like characters from a very specific scene of a very specific episode of Game of Thrones, namely the Red Wedding of "The Rains of Castamere." Ignore this link unless you enjoy seeing spoilers and other atrocities, heh.

External Link Carbon Costume as Arya, Dany, and more. It's never too early to start planning your Halloween, and Carbon Costume has a few tips for achieving a truly authentic Game of Thrones look this year. With their help (and a healthy wallet perhaps), you can dress up as Arya Stark, Daenerys Targaryen, Melisandre, Jon Snow, or even George R. R. Martin. They're perfect for cosplay and conventions, too.

External Link A 3D Westeros Map with Tutorial. Little people, Big worlds is a tutorial site that teaches its readers to craft sci-fi and fantasy related things. Leigh's latest project: a one-meter high, hand-built, and painted map of Westeros. It's as close to Stannis' painted table as Ice and Fire fans are likely to get, and Leigh provides all the instructions (in three helpful parts) necessary to make one yourself. The photo below shows off some of the map's finer details, but it doesn't do justice to the dimensions of the awesome, final product. Go check it out and see if it's something you're interested in crafting, too.

External Link ADWD Fan Art by Urukki Saki. We've already featured some of Urukki Saki's work in our art gallery. Now he has three new, stunning illustrations based on events from A Dance with Dragons, with more to come. "Bran's Monster" is inspired by an early encounter of Bran's; "A Thousand Eyes and One" offers another look at Lord Bloodraven; and "Groleo" depicts the biggest moment from the book.

External Link Lego Game Of Thrones. Our next entry for art week is slightly less conventional, but perhaps more fun: Lego Game Of Thrones. This website is dedicated to recreating characters and iconic scenes from A Song of Ice and Fire in Lego form. The Heart Tree below is one of my favorites, but I also love the minifigure collections for House Stark and House Lannister, and I can't wait to see what else this clever site will come up with.

External Link ASOIAF Portraits by Impsgramma. Art week on Tower of the Hand continues with the work of one of our esteemed members. For many months, Impsgramma has been drawing fantastic caricatures of her fellow TotHraki. Now she's begun a gallery of characters from A Song of Ice and Fire, including some rarely depicted legends, like Bloodraven (featured below), Lyanna Stark, and Rhaegar Targaryen.

External Link Mondo Game of Thrones poster gallery. All this week Tower of the Hand will be featuring works of art that were inspired by George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire and HBO's Game of Thrones. Some of these were produced by professional artists, others by fans who have spent months working on these projects in their spare time. We want to thank everyone who has shared their work with us, and we hope all of you enjoy this first official "art week" at Tower of the Hand.
