Tower of the Hand

Snow Cripples - Season 1 Re-watch

SCOPE No seasons watched

This post may discuss events from the first seven seasons of Game of Thrones. It may also discuss events from the books A Feast for Crows and A Dance with Dragons. If you've watched every aired episode through Season 7 and have read all the books to date, set your scope above to Season Seven (2017). Otherwise, we advise you to avoid reading this post as it may contain spoilers.

There are only six episodes of Game of Thrones remaining! Before the story of the Iron Throne comes to its epic conclusion in April of 2019, let's revisit all 67 episodes to date, reflecting on the show's biggest moments and comparing its early years to more recent seasons. In Tower of the Hand's new Group Re-watch Project, a member of our community will cover a pair of episodes every week or so. Today's guest writer WhataboutRikon will lead the discussion of Season 1, Episodes 3 and 4 - "Lord Snow" and "Cripples, Bastards, and Broken Things."

One more note before we get started: we still need volunteers for this re-watch project. As of this writing, there are select slots available in Seasons 2 through 6. If you're willing and able to review a pair of episodes for us, please contact us. New and returning writers are welcome!

Warning: Discussions are not subject to scope. That is, commenters can and often do discuss events from the most recent A Song of Ice and Fire book and/or Game of Thrones episode.
