External Link Brewery Ommegang's Valar Morghulis. Brewery Ommegang has officially announced the name and style of its latest Game of Thrones inspired beer: "Valar Morghulis." The name was chosen by fans in a poll, besting several other options ("Seven Kingdoms," "Hand of the King," and "Khal"). Valar Morghulis is an Abbey Dubbel and is expected to be release Fall 2014. The full press release follows the fold.

External Link Brewery Ommegang's Fire and Blood Red Ale. Brewery Ommegang has announced Fire and Blood Red Ale, the third release in its Game of Thrones inspired line of beers. Ommegang saw record-breaking sales with its Iron Throne Blonde Ale, and Take the Black Stout has had even greater success. Take the Black Stout is on sale now so get it while you can. I can personally attest to its quality; it's good stuff, especially if you like stouts. Fire and Blood Red Ale will be released in Spring 2014. The full press release follows the fold.

Three new figures from Dark Horse

Dark Horse announced last week that Ned Stark, Tyrion Lannister, and Khal Drogo will soon be getting their own figures. They join the Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen figures, which debuted at this year's San Diego Comic-Con. The full press release and some photos follow the fold.

External Link Brewery Ommegang's Take the Black Stout. Following the success of its first Game of Thrones inspired beer ("Iron Throne Blonde Ale"), Brewery Ommegang has announced its latest concoction, "Take the Black Stout." Some lucky few got a taste of the new beer at Comic-Con, including Winter Is Coming's Simone Boyce. The rest of us will get a chance to try it soon, as Take the Black Stout will go on sale in September. The full press release follows the fold.

SDCC 2013: New collectibles unveiled

HBO is using Comic-Con to unveil a number of new Game of Thrones products. We already told you about the pop-up book from Insight Editions. Now behold the other (and sometimes incongruously adorable) collectibles from Funko, Dark Horse, Diamond Comic, and Factory Entertainment, all of which are on display at Comic-Con. The press release follows the fold, with additional pictures on Tower of the Hand's Facebook page.

Coming soon: A Pop-Up Guide to Westeros

Two years ago on this date, A Dance with Dragons was officially released. There's no telling when the next book in the series will be released, so fans will have to settle instead for Game of Thrones: A Pop-Up Guide to Westeros. This new book will feature five spreads that fold out to form a map of Westeros. Designer Matthew Reinhart has previously worked on several popular pop-up books (including a Star Wars book that I can personally attest to), and this book will be illustrated by Michael Komarck, who is well regarded for his A Song of Ice and Fire art. Attendees of this year's Comic-Con will get an early glimpse of the book, which is scheduled for a March 2014 release. View the full press release after the fold.

External Link Winter Is Coming's magazine, on sale now. Celebrate the new year by getting a special Game of Thrones magazine, available at newsstands everywhere. Written by the great staff of Winter Is Coming, the magazine features exclusive articles about the HBO show, brand new interviews with Kit Harington and Kristian Nairn, and eighty pages of bonus photos. Only 90 days left until season three premieres!

External Link Dark Horse to produce novelty items. HBO and Dark Horse have announced a new partnership to produce every Game of Thrones related product imaginable, including "statues, busts, action figures; prop and jewelry replicas; and barware, stationery, and other collectibles." A lot of those may seem like novelties, but I'm somewhat intrigued by the prospect of action figures. The first round of items will be available in specialty stores everywhere March 2012.
