Called Fishfeed. The harried Lannister host meets an army of Riverlanders and the Winter Wolves on the western edge of the God's Eye.

Due to their commander's age and infirmity, the battle-weary Lannister host marched a slow pace eastward toward Harrenhal. When they reached the western shores of the God's Eye to turn north, a large host awaited them.

Winterfell had sent a banner of 2000 men lead by Lord Roderick Dustin to join the war while the rest of the North mustered. He joined with Lord Forrest Frey and Red Robb Rivers to block the path of the Lannisters. As Lord Lefford prepared to face them, another host of riverlords and survivors of other battles approached from the south lead by Longleaf. Lord Lefford sent word to Harrenhal of their predicament but all ravens were intercepted by Robb Rivers's arrows. He had no choice but to put his back to the shore of the lake and hold position until the armies attacked. The next day, their enemies were reinforced when Garibald Grey, Jon Charlton and the young Benjicot Blackwood arrived with fresh levies and attacked from all three sides.

The ensuing battle was the bloodiest land battle of the Dance of the Dragons with thousands of men slaughtered or drowning as they were pushed back into the God's Eye. Among the nobles to die were Forrest Frey, Lord Lefford, Lord Bigglestone, Jon Charlton, Lord Swyft, Lord Reyne, Clarent Crakehall and Tyler Hill. The Winter Wolves suffered great losses as they begged the honor to fight in the vanguard. They lost more than two thirds of their number.
